Canon background:here

abilities:here

Personality:
Strengths:
  • Ability to "read the terrain" and adapt In all situations, she achieves a certain degree of reasonable control that allows her to keep calm in her decision-making and reserve her emotions. This placid projection can cause her to come across as unapproachable, though she isn't naturally unfriendly or intentionally intimidating. She has the innate ability to read the terrain, as she likes to say, knowing when to push and when to leave well enough alone. She knew to go in that Steve was not going to sign the Accords, but she thought, at the time, that signing was the best option. Folding into reading the terrain, Natasha also knows when to admit a mistake and try to learn from it. She believed that the Accords would keep her family together, but as she viewed the carnage at the airport, she realized that trying to stop her friends, only tore them all apart in the end. She chose to help Steve even though she knew that she would have to leave because it was the only way to end all the fighting.

  • Kind: Natasha is a kind woman who has been hardened by the circumstances of her life. Growing up, she didn't have a lot of kindness shown to her, except for Clint who took a chance on her instead of killing her as he was assigned. One act of kindness cemented their relationship forever, there is literally nothing on earth that Natasha would not do for Clint and his family. She is especially kind to his daughter Lila, who calls her Auntie Nat.

  • Loyal: Natasha is the type of person that doesn't like to owe anyone anything. She sees it as her personal mission to repay all of her debts, the biggest one in her mind being to Barton. He could have killed her but chose not to. The choice is of utmost importance to Natasha, and so is repaying her debts. It is the reason why she will move heaven and earth to help Clint, and later on Steve. She often jokes alluding to the fact she is Russian, somehow that should put her loyalty into question, but those she is closest to, Barton, Fury, Rogers know different. They allowed her choice, so they have earned her debt and loyalty. Once Natasha's loyalty is earned, there is very little on this earth that can break it.

    Weaknesses:
  • Unsure of her worth For a woman that projects confidence, Natasha has a low value of her own self worth. She believes that she is non-essential to the Avengers, never fully realizing that she was the glue that kept everyone together. She is cold and blunt due to her training and that can put some people off. Natasha has always let her past get in her head, just because she started off on the wrong side means she automatically has to stay there. She believes that she has one lane and that is to make up for her past. She doesn’t realize that the people around her depend on her to be there.

  • Puts others happiness before her own Natasha time and again put others happiness before her own. She developed feelings for Bruce and ended up pushing him away instead of fighting for the right to be happy together. She constantly puts Steve's needs in front of her own, committing treason in order to protect him. She wants so much to be happy and to make a life for herself, that she has a tendency to get in her own way. She has always thought that because of her past, she didn't deserve happiness of her own.

  • Her Masks: Natasha’s entire identity as an Agent of Shield is dependent on the roles she is able to play or the masks she wears. She never thought about who she was outside of the roles she had to play. She became so defined by the roles, that she lost sight of her own identity, as evidenced by her conversation with Steve in Winter Soldier, “Who do you want me to be? became an anthem in Natasha’s life, one that she was trying to figure out when Ultron happened. Natasha doesn’t process her own feelings and has a difficult time understanding what she feels and the feelings of what people want her to be. Feeling, in her mind is a weakness and one that she can’t afford.

Inventory: Her Infinity War suit and weapons

Which of the following would they most like to have in abundance: She would love to have good luck because let's face it, her luck has sucked lately.
